Symposium on Adolescent and Young Adult Addiction

Each day we are confronted with the devastation of lives lost as a result to opioid overdose, drunk driving, and mental health crises and quite often young people are involved. In an effort to better prepare health professionals in preventing, identifying, and treating young people at risk or with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental disorders Columbia University and the Smithers Foundation joined efforts and enlisted the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry and University of Missouri-Kansas City in presenting a one-day conference dedicated to “adolescents and young adults suffering from substance use disorders” on Friday, October 19, 2018 in New York.

We look forward to seeing you at the conference and urge you to share this invitation with your colleagues.  This is a limited opportunity so plan to register today.
