Free Educational Programs

  • March and April 2015: Vaccine Hesitancy Webinar Series (NYS AAP)
  • 2, 2015: ICD-10 educational dinner program (NY Chapter 2)
  • 3, 2014: “Shot @ Life,” a dinner program for medical students, residents and fellowship trainees featuring an international campaign to promote immunization worldwide (NY Chapter 2)
  • 12, 2014: “Just in Time: Building Brighter Futures for Children Dealing with Crisis,” a conference enabling pediatricians and other child care professionals to explore the current best practices for serving children dealing with crisis or disasters (NYS AAP co-hosted)
  • 6, 2014: “Preventing Blindness from Neonatal Retinal Disease: Digital Imaging, Treatment and Beyond,” an educational dinner program (NY Chapter 2 Committee on Fetus and Newborn)
  • 17, 2014: “2nd Annual Anti-Bullying Campaign” (NY Chapter 2 Committee on Bullying Prevention co-hosted)

Committee Projects

  • The Pediatric Council continues to meet with insurance companies in an effort to improve pediatric practice
  • The Nutrition Committee created two new brochures on “Milk Confusion” and “Dietary Advice for Food Allergies”
  • The Committee on Youth and Adolescence created a Concussion Survey
